Bio:
Jackson was born in Memphis, Tennessee. His mother committed suicide when he was six, leaving him to be raised by his uncle, a widower with four daughters. He owned a successful barbeque restaurant that Jackson worked at from age thirteen until he finished high school. Afterward Jackson enlisted in the army; he was soon admired and esteemed by all of his senior officers.
In 1990, two years before the end of the Mozambican civil war, Jackson was dispatched with a small military unit to Mozambique, to help in negotiations between the Frelimo government and the opposing party, Renamo. While on route to base, the unit was mistaken for Frelimo military support and attacked by Renamo guerilla soldiers. Jackson was shot and wounded in the crossfire, but a fellow soldier dragged him to safety. The same man was shot soon afterwards, while trying to retrieve a medical kit.
Jackson awoke in a Renamo encampment. Fearing backlash from the mistaken attack, the Renamo leadership was trying to decide what to do with the wounded soldier. Jackson had been shot in his stomach and was in extreme pain; Renamo was sure he would die soon and hoped to count him as another war casualty.
Jackson, however, was rescued by a mysterious man who called himself Mizaru; he promised Jackson health and safety if Jackson would promise to "Protect the Kore."; Jackson agreed, and afterward lost consciousness.
Jackson awoke, healed, outside the U.S. Embassy in Pretoria, South Africa. Jackson never saw the man, Mizaru, again. When Jackson was afterward escorted inside the Embassy, he began to have what authorities described as fits; upon seeing certain men, he would cry out and look away, as if his eyes were in pain. Before his condition could be helped, Jackson fled the embassy.

* Jackson sometimes uses phrases from the seventies or eighties.
* Jackson is a struggling alcoholic, a fact he hides from Wilh and Kross.
* No one knows what Jackson was doing between the time he became a Sanzaru (1990), and when he met Wilh(2003).
